On The Buses

We are proud to be a part of the new Travel Ambassador Green Star Scheme which is operated by Visit Isle of Wight, the official Tourist Board for the Island. It’s for accommodation providers who actively promote the many ways to explore our beautiful Island without the car, such as cycling, walking, bus and train travel.

You could minimise your carbon footprint by leaving your car at home and travel to the Island using public transport. Then get around in the following ways...  Getting Around

However, we do understand that this might not be possible for everyone, especially those with young children and for those that bring their cars across the Solent, we have been given four bus passes that let you travel for free on all island buses (including the open top Breezers).  We would be delighted for you to leave your cars at Lyon Court and use our passes to get out on the buses for a day and see our beautiful island from a different perspective, all for free!

Here are some ideas for where you could go and what you could do:

Brighstone, Chale & Niton Cowes
Freshwater, Yarmouth & Totland Godshill & Wroxall
Seaview, St Helens & Bembridge Newport
Ryde Sandown
Shanklin Ventnor
